Importing wheels from the USA
« on: 24 July 2011, 14:14 »
Anybody have experience of importing wheels from USA? I'm after a specific set of staggered fitments 15x8 15x9 racing steel wheels.

I can get the company to send them, it's more the tax/ import duty at this end that I'm worried about.
Before someone suggests it they will not mark them as a "gift" as that is illegal.

I'm guessing I need to add approx' 20% to final price, but can anyone point me in the right direction for finding out?
Not too keen on banded wheels as seems like everyone wants the earth for them these days.

This for the theory:

then when you fall asleep after 30 seconds of reading that, try:

Cool, thanks for the replies and PM's.

Import duty calculator was most useful.

Think I may need to start saving up my pennies...
