The GM Debate
« on: 22 July 2011, 18:38 »
As some of you may be aware, the John Innes Centre in East Anglia is holding a GM potato trial. There are big protests going on about the trial and the GM debate in general.
Theres a fairly neutral discussion on Look East

So, where does everyone stand on GM?

I think there is a growing population that need to be fed, if you can engineer crops that grow with less water or repel insects then thats got to be a good thing, there is a huge amount of wasteage at the moment due to climate change so i give it a thumbs up.
