Finally had a phonecall from the garage at 4,40pm to tell me 'its looking like an electrical fault but we finish at 5pm so we'll look at it again on Monday'

Urm do you not work Saturday's??

Yes but the guy working on your car isnt't so it will be Monday

Well the Modus has been fixed 

Fault was traced to a 'short circuit within the injection relay circuit' 

Wiring has been repaired and Linzi has a much lighter purse 

Garage couldn't give me a reason as to what had caused the problem though. Apparently there were no signs of water ingress 

Oh and any profit they might have made on the job is going to be lost when they respray the drivers door thanks to the lovely scratch they put in it

So 3 months later the Modus finally went in to have the paintwork sorted.

On the to do list was the drivers door and both passenger doors. Dropped it off Monday at 10am and had a phone calll 5 hours later 

Went to pick it up on Wednesday and guess what....they hadnt touched the passenger side 

Then i looked at the drivers door and was greeted with this



 

Proper bodge job 

So I left the car there.  Still awaiting a phonecall

Big rectangle in the front door which is a completely different shade to the rest of the car

Sadly your guess is as good as mine mate 

I sent the same picture to my mate who has a bodyshop; he said the only way to blend it properly is to do the wing and both doors.....
