horn not working

when i bought my mk1 the horn was intermittent, then i changed to a momo wheel and now it's not working at all, the relay doesn't click (i have bought a new 1 and still nothing) any ideas? cheers

I had the exact same problem.  I stripped out and rewired the whole car recently and one thing I could never get working was my fooking horn!  In the end I had to make a whole new setup for it.

First thing I would check if I were you would be the earth from the body to the steering rack.  You'll need to jack the car up and get underneath. there is a thick brown wire bolted to the body and the rack near the main steering boot. mine had corroded and eventually broken away, it's in quite a vulnerable area being so close to the ground.

Mine stopped because of the one on the steering rack too.
Also check the horns themselfs as the wire were it goes into pairs corroded on mine and i had to rewire them.
