1999 GTi Advice Please?!!
« on: 20 July 2011, 17:50 »
Hi,

New to this but i just thought I would ask for some advice.

I have a 1999 (S reg) Gti 20v 1.8 (non-turbo)
Currently no tax, no MOT.

To get an MOT i recon I need new rear pads, discs and calipers and suspension bushes. There are a few other bits but i think i can get an MOT with this work.

Do I...

Take it to a scrappy
Sell it as it is on ebay
Get it fixed and then sell it on ebay

In an ideal world, i would get it fixed and keep it  but this is not an ideal world

Anyone know what it is worth? as is, with tax and test
It is otherwise stunning 3 door in red.

Help??

thanks for reading

Surely brakes and suspension bushes are only about a few hundred quid, surely the car is worth more? Surely it's a no brainer.
80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.

Not that expensive to fix, repair and sell it.

not too expensive to fix, but then add MOT, tax & insurance... selling fees... is it still worth it? I recon £500 ish to get it back legalling on the road?
