updating garmin sat nav - europe
« on: 15 July 2011, 08:22 »
right.. off to spain on me jollies soon and want to have the sat nav in the car as map reading, swmbo, the outlaws, a tired kid and foreign roads after the aeroporto late at night won't be a great combination

i don't really fancy lashing out something silly like £70 for a european maps so I was wondering if there was a hooky way of doing this for free?  :lipsrsealed:

the garmin I have is about 3 years old so not the latest model

I would have thought there are maps on torrent sites  :lipsrsealed:

They're only stored as folders on the unit, shouldn't be too difficult to do once you get the map

Check if the Google maps iphone app now does navigation in the rest of europe. It's free and if you have data roaming it will be the easiest way imo. Just don't forget your in-car charger

I thought all the maps were available , just you need a sd card as the sat nav cant hold it all might just be mine as i have lifetime updates on it. I think it was only £90 for lifetime updates
