sunroof Water leak, yet again.....................

Well after reading all the info i found in the search, i felt armed enough to get to work and hunt out the problem. screwdivers, sockets and crow bar at the ready . got all the trim out, headliner off, only breaking 2 trim clips and losing one!!

Now i was expecting the water leaks to be perished pipes or bad connection where they meet the suroof tray, but no, the connections are all fine, its the actual drain connector that the pipes clip onto, where they themselves clip onto the sunroof tray. I can see some sort of sealant has ben used on them so guessing its just this that has perished and i need to re do it, anyone else had that or has it always been just the pipes for everyone??

also debating wether or not to spray the interior black now its all off...........

I'm feeling your pain - I have the a leaky sunroof also so all this rain is doing me no favours at all. I was hoping it was my rear washer that was leaking but after yanking that bit of trim off with clips flying everywhere I ruled that out but have wussed out of investigating the sun roof drain. Only 1000 miles and its due for a service so I'll get my friendly local garage to check it out. My car is getting well musty though - I just pack the boot with newspaper and replace it every couple of days..  :-(

No many repies to this so thought I would add issues.

I have a leak from the left side of my sunroof, de gunked the rubber gromet thing in the door but not this and I cant even see water coming out of it when I put water down anyway ? SO I think I may have the same issue

Will report back once I have looked into it further
