engine starts then cuts out ?????

Isn't that what happens when the immobiliser kicks in? Starts for a second or 2 before cutting out.......

that doesnt sound good but its started with no problems today will just have to put up with it for now

That's only if it has an immobiliser installed, both of mine didn't.

yes it has an imobilizer and has being doing it again today eventually starting after several attempts just wondering if it could be anything else like a sensor or throttle body would it be noticed if i were to put it on a machine at a garage i really want to fix it but dont know where to start

I had this problem on mine, cleaned the throttle body and haven't had a problem starting since. Cheers barney
