Exhaust hanger problems

However I have a problem in that on the middle box of the new system the exhaust hangers go horizontally across the middle box whereas on my car I have one rubber bracket thingy by where the middle box  would be however it’s in the completely wrong direction.

Any idea what sort of rubber bracket thing I would need to fit the new middle box? Sorry if I haven’t explained it very well I can get pictures of the actual hangers if needed. Thanks

i had the total opasive on my gti 8v.
my gti has 2 hangers one ither side of pipe near the join and the pipe i got was fro non gti and it had one hanger in the middle so im guessing gtis have 2 hangers and non gtis have one.
if so get a middler hanger from a gti. they bold on and off. job dont.

Thanks thats a great help i will be on the look out for one. Dont suppose you would know where to get one? i had a look on ebay but only saw ones that claim there for all models.

the strait bar in the bottom of the rubber on there is the brocken off bracket from the exhaust by the looks of it and they have left it in.

Cheers thats a great help i did see that one but wasnt sure with that bar at the bottem but yeah as you said looks like the old broken off bracket.
