interesting question mk3 2.016v Drinking water

hi everyone,

i put in water last night in my car "topped it to max" and i drove arond for about a normal day town driving got home checked it today and there is no water in there now????

ive checked the dipstick there is no water in there, i checked were u put the oil in no signs in there with checked for leaks no leaks anywehre n the only part where i noticed there was a little water was on the side skirt of the passenger side just beheind the front wheel but it wasnt alot only a little drop hmmmm


im stuck :huh:

There is an overflow vent on the expansion tank on that side. Is your water temp ok as it may be boiling over and running out of there

yup water temp is fine it, umm prob thing is i do drive the car fast could that be the reason

Happened to me loads of times...you prob have an air lock and the water ur putting in is just getting pushed out through the vents in the expansion bottle...refill again and leave it run up to normal temp..when the thermostat opens youll see the water dropping again...keep it topped up....good guide here for air locks somewhere...have a look at that and should b fine
