coolant relay
« on: 06 June 2011, 20:39 »
I'm getting limp mode with the fault codes:

19461 relay for preheat of coolant, high heat input j360 to b+

18065 a/c system input/output short to b+ p1657.

so i'm trying to find part no. for the coolant relay. locall tps cant help with part no. unless i can find it, (not listed on ekta) does anyone know where its located on the car? mk1 leon cupra tdi. same as mkiv golf tdi.

any more idea's on what could be the cause of fault codes?

black box under the bonnet near the master cylinder/bulkhead
there are 3 coolant glowplugs, the j359 controls one of them and the j360 the other two.
try cleaning the earth contact under the scuttle before replacing the relay. Also worth checking the battery terminals are clean and that there is no damage to the wiring that runs over the starter motor.

thats the one chris, is it the black box to the left off the pollen filter? also checked battery terminals all good and clean. will also have a look at the wiring that runs over starter motor.
cheers mate
