I went notts today to pick some wheels up i got cheap.On the way home the car decided it was not going any further.It went all lumpy and popped and banged and then died!!.I reached for my phone and twito here had left it at home so i had to trek to a phone box.Did you know its 60p to make a minimum phone call bt rip offs lol,Anyway after no sympathy from the mrs(mk3 golf owner) i trekked back and the sodding thing started.I thought sweet and carried on towards home but only got about 3/4 of a mile before it did the same thing pop pop died again!!.
Anyway after more calls and about 2 hrs later my mate in his trusty tranny came to tow me home,He asked what was wrong so i explained and tried it and it started up and i left it running for the whole 25 mile of being towed home.
So now it sits on the drive with me not daring to go anywhere at all in case it does it again,Sorry for the speach lol i've had a bad day and the wheels didnt turn out cheap in the end as it cost me £40 to get home.
Anyone have any idea why it will run for a while the pop and miss and die but then 5 mins later be fine??
Your help or sarcasm would be appreciated
