Ive got a gti and wanna get the full colour coded bumpers and side strips for it and remove the arch covers,i no they have got plastic clips holding them on so do i just need to get a flat head screwdriver and pop them out,stupid question i know i just dont want to get heavy handed if there is another easier option,cheers

If your talking about the bumper and the plastic clips holding it to the inner arch, get a small screwdriver/punch/nail or whatever, and push the centre bit through. Dont loose it though! Then just pull the other part out from the arch. Turn your wheels inwards though so you have a decent bit of clearance to do it.

Just drill the rivets out, you will / may need cutting compound to get the marks out of the paint when you take them off.
