Are both cables connected gearbox end properly? the nuts can come loose and cause havoc!

thanks for your replys boys but yes i have done a search many times but none seem to cover my problem it feels as if the cable has snapped but you can move stick from the bay one of the cables has a ball joint on it so can,t go wrong realy and the other is tight so to me it seems right . going back to the gear stick it just feels all over the place but i can,t see any damage and like i said before you can move the seleceters form this point :undecided: i have taken out the shaft from the gearbox  but and that seems fine or nothing looks damaged is there something im missing only at home for weekends so now is getting to me
