forgot to mention before.. the back box looked not straight too..
been in back first thing this morning..
stood there with the bloke while he did it (same bloke as before..)
he straightened up the back box...
and he added some zip ties around the rubber bits that support the mid/silencer box as this could bang.. he said there was stuff there before but he never replaced..
and also.. i noticed (otherwise he wouldnt have done it!) that where the silencer box meets the pipe from the CAT that the U-bolt there was very close to a brace that goes across.. he turned this so it was less likely to hit..
i took the car for a 20 min detour up an A road and back down the m-way and its stopped again now.
the only rattle i have left is some kind of vibration when have foot right down that i'm sure is related to the engine bash/protection plate thingy..
