Oh dear... why did you compare it to a 2.0T mk5 with a k03, thats just a mk4 in a fancy dress...... what you comparing a mk5 astra vxr (235bhp?) to a mk5 golf? I'm comparing the later 2.0T TSI/TFSI engines, the one on the Cupra R and S3 that push 260bhp stock, and the Cupra R is £19k same as the VXR I believe with more bang for the buck by a mile.

I believe you said the VXR is faster and lighter, given its horse power advantage .7 isn't faster its basically the same and a mk6 will improve on that time again, again with less power than the VXR.

If you want to hang on to .7 of a second to back up your comment. Of course a better man would concede his point and gain a lot more respect from it.

I think you will also find the fatty R32 will be showing your VXR a clean pair of heels... anything other than perfectly dry road and you can add another 5secs or so to that time, lighter, more powerful, faster VXR
