Part number confusion - bit of ETKA help required

Hi there, I was wondering if someone could help me get to the bottom of a parts issue I'm having...

I ordered a brushed chrome wing mirror switch from BKS tuning (part number 5K2 959 565) but unfortunatley it does not have the electric folding mirror function that my car does.  After a bit of searching I came up with part no 5k0 959 565 XSH, which apparently is the correct one.  Anyway, BKS are telling me that this part number is for LHD vehicles... but my understanding was that the 5K0 prefix was for both left and right hand drive...  Could some kind soul clear this up for me so I can order the right part.

Oh and as an aside (btw I've only had the car for 5 days...) should the drivers door mirror drop when I put it in reverse as well as the passengers? Seems a bit odd that it doesn't...

No, the drivers door mirror doesn't dip. Don't know why they didn't implement this.
I reckon they presumed we would always park on the left hand side of the road* hence why its only the passenger side that dips.
They obviously never factored in one way roads!!



* Isn't there a law that says you can't park on the opposite side of the road? i.e. you would be facing oncoming traffic when you go to pull out! I vaguely remember a whole host of cars being ticketed when I was a boy because of this.

It does seem very odd... especially when I'm trying to reverse into a parking space 

Oh the part definitely appears to be # 5K0 959 565 XSH ...for anybody else who is thinking about this mod.

5K0 959 565 is switch for electrical adjustable exterior mirrors, heated with fold-in function which was dropped on 01/08/2010 and replaced with 5K0 959 565 XSH and the XSH part is the black/chrome finish - £26.17.
