running rich. Well That could be down to a map, faulty sensor, stuck injector, Is it rich on all cylinders? Has it ever run right? when was the conversion done?

Could be anything really mate. I would take it to a vw specialist garage, someone that knows what they are doing.

What code is the motor?

Is it a turbo?

Can you see whether there's a lambda connected from the exhaust?

What management is it running?  OEM (standard) or third party?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

i think it could be a third party management system on it theres no engine codes.its constantly lumpy plus u only get a few times to start it or it floods itself seems to not be as bad when hot.yeah has turbo.ave got it booked in for tomorrow heard good things bout this place but still worried that ive bought a pig in a poke

That sounds like the map mate. Flooding the engine may because of the priming pulse, used to bleed injectors on power up, but can flood engine after a few attempts! Sounds like the whole map is running rich. If it's stand alone management then someone has tried to map it themselves by the sound of things, should take a few hours on the dyno to get it running sweet.

Have you told the garage it may be standalone, some garages dont touch it even if they are a tuning garage. Well tuning garage round my way wouldn't touch mine! You should be able to find the ecu aswell, could be under seats under dash maybe. Mines under my glove box. And as Dh said has it got a sensor on the exhaust.
