Hot starting problems on a 16v

 :sad: The car runs fine starts fine from cold but once its hot the problems start....
I have a 16v kr jetta gti

Once hot the car will 99pc of the time fire up on the first turn of the key but if it doesnt fire up on that turn then the engine will turn and turn but not fire up....????
It will jump start fine as ive done this a few times now.... :cry:

Just wondered what might be causing my troubles.....?? Any help apreciated

that sounds like a bad/loose connection somewhere around the coil

Could be the coil itself breaking down. Buy one off a smacked car, it'll be very cheap.

 :sad: IVE GOT THREE CARS WITH THE SAME ENGINE IN IT SO ILL DO SOME SWAPPING AROUND OVER THE WEEKEND

 :smiley: I think ive got to the bottom of this one now!! With a little help from Andy Robinson!!

Seems that it will start when hot with the cold start valve dissconnected!! Which im told may be a faulty temp sensor in the block. Seems the engine it putting too much fuel in when its cranked over when hot cos it thinks its still cold!! Im gonna swap one off my golf which i know is a good one and hope this works!!
