Ipod & 310
« on: 11 May 2011, 21:43 »
Evening,

My first post, a new member, and an avid VW fan, so firstly Hello all!

Ive just taken delivery of a GTD and have a few questions, the first one is wrecking my head!
I have the Ipod lead in the glovebox, when I plug the Ipod in it only works what can only be described as randomly!
When it does work it shows on the display as media in on the CD changer sreen and allows me to see track numbers, i can move the tracks up and down on the steering wheel as well.
The problem is....it only seems to work when it wants! Today it choose not too again, I pressed media in, pressed it again to the second CD in...and it just defaults to the Radio.

Any idea's woud be much appreciated!

Try updating the iPod if it needs it.
If it's a Mac formatted iPod, my mum's old Scirocco had the same problem, although her car was supplied with 2 iPod leads and a USB lead. The 2 different iPod leads were because Apple changed the pin-outs on the dock connectors :) funnily enough, her GTI only has the one...

Nope, latest software on it, seems to have worked this morning by plugging it in before putting the ignition on.....
A very expensive add on, you'd think it would work everytime!
