Mk2 Scirocco Questions
« on: 19 April 2011, 13:27 »
A 1987 mk2 Scirocco has come up for sale near me at a very very tempting price  :lipsrsealed: Could anyone help me with these questions please?
1. 1.8 8v injection engine, is this the golf mk1 engine or mk2 engine?
2. was k-jet or digi or something else used in 1987?
3. brakes and suspension, golf mk1 or mk2 parts?
4. interior, will 3dr mk2 doorcards fit?
Thanks in advance

Mk1 / mk2 engine however mounting is the mk1 set up

K jet

3. brakes and suspension, golf mk1 or mk2 parts?
Golf mk1 but springs are different rates due to body weight differences.

4. interior, will 3dr mk2 doorcards fit?
Nope

Vento is cooler.  :lipsrsealed:

Nah, sciroccos are gorgeous, but look outdated unless they are nicely modified.

Yeah I love the Vento but I've always been a fan of the mk2 rocco. It's looking unlikey at the moment as a lot of companies say I need to be 25 to get insurance on it
