help my mk 2 is driving me mad

Hi guys and girls
I have a mk 2 golf gti and she has suddenly developed a miss fire and i think that she is only running on three. She ticks over fine but under load at low revs she is running terrible i have done all the basics new plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotary arm, i have changed the fuel filter and ran some cleaner threw and i have changed the coil pack of my other golf to see if this has an effect. I have checked the timing and done a compression test and all of this is fine i am completely at a loss with what to try next any help would be greatly appreciated.
