Lowered Suspension - Fitting ?
« on: 21 March 2005, 13:03 »
Hi, sorry for the new thread, but couldn't find this question in any of the others.

I've purchased a lowering kit from GSF. The kit consists of BOGE lowering springs and BOGE Turbo gas shocks.

Anyway, i've fitted the full kit no problem, trouble is, it's a lot lower on the front than the back ???

Infact the back doesn't look like its been lowered at all, im running 17" inch wheels and the front looks good, but the rear looks jacked up.

The only thing I can think of, is that i've put the rear springs on upside down.

I've fitted them, so that the spaced out coils are at the top, and the coils that are nearly touching each other are at the bottom.

Any help would be much appreciated.

It was about ?170 all in.

Doddle to fit really, you just need some spring compressors and a vice.

I struggled with a couple of rusty nuts, but nothing major.
