VDO GAUGE SENDERS

Hi all, can anyone help me on where I can get hold of the 5 BAR pressure sensor sender double pole unit.  I also need a T Piece and a Oil Temperature sender.  I also need the wiring from the two senders to the gauges, whats the best type and where to buy it?  The cheaper the better, money tight!   They are for the VW Golf mk1 89 model.  Come on Rub Johnny your the man.

cheapest place would be off an audi in the scrappy, same with the oil temp sensor. you need the blue colar one, the higher spec audis often had the oil temp in the dash even if no pressure gauge. i got mine of some huge v6 thing.

failing that keep an eye on ebay, but the pressure senders go for lots of money usually. oil temp is cheap from vw though 049 919 563B

Johnny just one more, where is the best place to wire in the live and lights?  The wiring unit has a relay fitted.

you'll probably find a spare grey/blue wire behind the fusebox for the lighting, the live feed can get dfrom any ign live feed really. the later blade fusebox has loads of ign live feed spades on the back, the early one has just 1. but you can splice into a live wire if you wanted, the heater one is an easy place to get it

Sorry to dig up an old thread but rather than me starting a new topic is this the correct sender for the gauge?

as long as its what he says it is then yeah it should be the one. its actually not much more from audi direct tho:

Cheers RJ. It's on backorder when I tried to get one from VW. No Audi dealer nearby.
