hmm, either the main pump is on its way out or the lifter pump impeller has broken or something. the fact you cant hear the pump run on after it cuts out though suggests it may be an ecu , wiringor pump relay fault. easiest thing to try 1st is swap another pump relay into it, mk3s have what you need and plentiful in the scrappy. alternatively could bridge the pins on the relay socket
