Deffo differnt... my 5 speed AGU is just under 3k at around 7mpH!!!

100MPH is over 4k rpm



But your AGU is petrol, he's comparing against two diesels which will have different ratios/final drive to a petrol anyway.

unless you changed just the 5th gear cog for one of a tdi as some of the lads do in the states. Plus what is the hype with 6 speed gearbox's the close ratio's ruin the fun. Plus I know the 6th gear on the s3 is the same as our 5th gear which means *drum roll* no benefit

ok il just stick with the 5 speed box if there is no differance to be had and the money can go on other things
