Vandal Damage in Bristol - Please help!
« on: 27 March 2011, 13:44 »
Hi All,

I'm devastated to say that my perfect original mint mk2 16v was torched outside my house in Bristol last week and is in need of some TLC on Paintwork and Bumpers/plastics etc.

Can anybody recommend a really good body shop in Bristol area that know their GTi's???

Thanks :)

where abouts in Bristol are you dude? thats messed up!

A few guys ive spoke to over on VAGowners recommend a body shop in Longwell green think it was called JB autos? They deal with classic cars think it was mainly E Type Jags but a few people have used them and couldn't recommend them enough

That sucks.

I am just outside of Bristol (Near Clevedon) and a couple of companies I have used are 'Bristol classic cars' in Kenn and 'Longlife Bodyworks/Prestige auto refinishing' (they have just moved) in Nailsea next to 'First Call BMW & German Car Specialists'.
I have mainly had work done on my 74 VW Camper, but would not hesitate to let them work on the golf. They both often work on prestige and classic cars.

There is a bodyshop opposite where ours used to be and he is top notch. Its called restomod, his name is James and he is on Crown road industrial estate in Warmley.  Pop up and see him, he is always up for a chat.  Oh and tell him Ben sent you.
