Chinese sat nav/stereo alternatives...?
« on: 12 March 2011, 19:26 »
Got myself one of these, fitted in 30 mins with the help of guides on this site and gotta say very impressed.

Anyone who is thinking of spending 500+ on vw unit need to seriously consider one of these. iPod compatible etc etc, I spent £220 on a parrot kit (9200) and it is no where near one of these, in fact the parrot was rubbish in comparison!!!!

Just my 2p's for you!

Cheers

Do you have a link to what you bought?

http://wap.ebay.co.uk/Pages/ViewItem.aspx?aid=190510200987&sv=Vw%20gps%20unit&emvcc=0

Don't want to tempt fate but this is just as good as the vw unit.

The only negative I can see is that it does not store your phone book on iPhone however as the phone is hooked up via blue tooth you simply dial up using the phone.

Hands free blue tooth, iPhone sounds, sat nav, DVD player and more for 280 quid, happy days!!
