Needle on clock broken?
« on: 17 March 2011, 11:20 »
Just a quick one..

I bought the Bora Sport overlay for my Immo 2 clocks, removed the needles in the correct fashion to replace the overlay with the original and reconnected the needles. Brilliant i thought, that was until i started her up and realised that the needle for rev meter had decided not to work!!

When i start the engine and i'm driving around, i can hear the instrument cluster clicking at a rate which responds to how high or low my revs are. Is it a case that i need to keep fiddling with the needle until it 'fits' back into place properly, or is it fooked and should i just by a new cluster?

Please don't just reply with "Buy some immo 3 clocks", i would, but it's not worth it as i'm thinking of switching to Derv. Obviously it's a fault that i need to fix before selling up :undecided:

Any input would be appreciated

So.. Keep trying to fiidle with the needle until hopefully it works, or just get new clocks? New clocks have to be coded don't they? Price etc? (I don't have VAG software to it)

Guaranteed not Immo 3 though! lol! If i've been riding round all this time with Immo 2, i'm not gonna purchase better clocks for the next owner!

yeah i think if you go for another immo 2 then youll need vag tacho to recode it.

id keep fiddling with it to see if it catches, leave the clear plastic off and fit them to your car, then you can fiddle with it and test it straight after without having to take it all to bits again
