gti shocks fitting onto 1.6 gl mk2????

can anyone tell me if some golf gti mk2 gas shocks will fit straight onto a breg mk2 1.6 gl without having to change anything? thanks lloyd

All the same, only problem is the front might sit slightly higher as the engine isn't as heavy as the 1.8 lump.  Wont be much in it though!
Make sure you do the front & rear bump stops & top mounts at the same time as well as the rear bushes and rubber spring caps.
You need new front top nuts too as they are the self-locking type.
