hi all. i know this aint a golf but still a vw. anyway prob is that we was on the A road and i felt a jerk i thought it was turbo kicking in but felt more of a miss fire. anyway we then went down country roads and the proper prob started in 3rd gear going up hill the car started jerking and was loosing all power. so my unc dropped it to 2nd and then it cloncked out started back up find but then tried revving it but it was taking ages to rev abit. anyway aa guy came out and goes its EGR valve, 2 questions. 1) is it worth cleaning the egr valve out with carb cleaner? 2nd where is it located on the engine? is it at the back of the engine??
would realy appreciate it if anyone could help ut.
p.s when the car goes into limp mode (can not drive it at all) if you rev it all blue smoke comes out.. then when it starts revving fine you can drive till it messes up.
