electric window?

hi wounder if somebody can help me?

trying to put electric windows into my mk2 golf gti H plate 1990!!

just need advice with the fuse box side of it....

diagrams or a link would be amazing as well

if you have a complete uncut loom then the live feed goes to one of the Y plugs, the ign live to plug D pin 8,9 or 11. if you look at the plug there may be a spare black wire you can splice into. earth goes to the claw above the fusebox. see my fusebox faq for more info, pics of the back of the fusebox are on the last page

Nice one for that. Helped me out a lot. Just blowing the fuse now. Think it's the switches "/

If you find the windows are quick sometimes, and not at others, or off a direct 12v feed they're quick but not when on the switches, pop the switches apart and clean the contacts where they arc and soot up. A bit fiddly, but better than replacing motors and finding it makes no difference. Top tip to try 1st for anyone with slow windows!!

Ok cheers mate I'll remember that. Went out an brought new switches an it work fine, 100% infact. Couldn't of done it with your help. Nice one I ow you a drink!!
