the isv is on the side of the head on 16v mrk 2,? not sure about 8v,
and all 3+ r digi or a newre type of injection 
8V k-jet doesn't have an ISV. Certainly not on mk1's, never seen it on mk2's either but I stand to be corrected.
i'm sure there is one on mine, will look tomorrow.
