i just wanna know how deep they are compared to the standard cl one, want one but scared ill shred the thing off lol

Double the depth at a guess.
If you get a genuine one it will not shred for a while!
Mine scrapes everyday and is still visibly perfect, apart from a crack from the snow!
Its even been folded back on itself when being dragged from a tow truck and it just bounced back!


And to be fair, splitters are there for the scraping

At the front there only about half inch deeper but there double the depth at the sides mate.

cheers guys, my cars pretty low and i would love the vr splitter to scrape as i bounce along the road  my cl one catches most speedbumps now i just worried the vr might be toooo low haha half an inch in the middle sounds about perfect to do that

When you fit it put some screws through the little tabs that go through the bumper from underneath this will secure it a bit better too.

Genuine VW is a lot better as it flexes, by the time you have replaced a few of cheap ones you may as well have got a genuine one.

You can pick up cheap genuine ones if you look around, they generally have a small crack in them but mehhhh! You won't regret it
