Cheers Kev.

I need to update one point on the guide, with the new version of VCDS (908.2) long coding helper access to byte 18 is blocked. So you need to update the coding directly in the long string on the first page of the coding options.

It's also the same in the 10.3 beta.

I had a look at mine (non LED) and my mum's (LED) and the wires going to the lights go all the way down the rear arches? Nothing how these pictures show at all? So while you can unplug them from the light, you'd have to cut off the originals so you can put the new connector on, ideas?

NO CUTTING.
As you unplug the old light you then have the plug/harness from that light in your hand. We will call this plug1
You use an adaptor oem light socket to LED plug leads,(see pic below) That has a plug on one side and a socket on the other. We will call these plug2 and socket1.

The adaptors socket1 plugs into the original cars plug1
Then adaptors plug2 plugs into the socket on the new LED light (we will call this socket2).

This is the wire plug/socket combo you see in the photos on the link. You see plug1/socket1

The cars factory wiring has no such thing as it simply plugs directly into the light so you see no join or adaptors in the harness.

This is what happens.
Original non led car harness--->Original lights
Original LED car harness--->Original LED Lights
Original non led car harness----->adaptor lead--->LED lights.

This is repeated for all 4 rear lights.

Here is a picture of a set of 4 adaptor oem light socket to LED plug leads, notice the plug2 on one end and socket1 on the other.
