Any idea what it could be then thats squeeking.. When I refit the struts I lower the car back down on its wheels before tightening the top bolts up in the boot.... Am I right in thinking they shouldn't be done up too tight and just tight enough to bite....

They should be tight and from memory you should have another nut on top as well. :smiley:

Yeah theres 2 nuts per strut inbetween washer type things small top mount and top gold plates !!

Any idea what sort of torque they need to be done up to then as that may be the problem...

Any suspension member should be tightened as much as possible. You only want the parts that should move to move!
