Basically i've got a 1996 mk3 Golf 1.8 SE. Had some work done on it at a garage & the technician has told me that "the rubber seal between the manifold & throttle body is leaking". The guy told me that it's a VW only part so I went to VW today & the seal is £60!
Apparently it's a common seal to perish on the mk3 so was wondering if anyone knows if you can get this seal anywhere else for a more reasonable price.
Cheers.

It'll be fine. The seller is very reputable as well. Why pay £60 when you can pay £14 instead??

Thought i'd bump this as my car wont start now! I'm still waiting on the part to fit it so I was just wondering if this leaking seal could cause problems on start up? Or is this another issue!

What was it doing beforehand? Have you checked the coil?
