just bought a mk2 golf gti and it pulls to the left when driving what do lot rekone it could be if anyone can help would be greatfull thanks

As Mix said tracking but check tire pressures ( and sizes if the cars new to you ) first just to be sure

we could throw a whole load of things thayt woud scare him!!  i knwo the tracking on my old car was a bit skew cos i thwacked the kerb in the ice. . . . :undecided:

But get your tracking checked an realigned and it should be all ok

Be sure to get your camber checked at the same time aswell as this is just as likely as your tracking to cause pulling to one side. Most garages aren't equipped with the necessary gear to check and set camber though so you have to search them out. The camber needs to be checked each time the suspension has been dismantled so if the car has had any work done like new bottom ball joint, wishbone components, shock absorber etc it should be setup again afterwards.
I swear by having it checked, I had my last two cars setup and they drove like different cars afterwards, staight down the line!

hope this dont sound stupid but what is a camber and anothere thing is ive just looked at my front left tyre and in the middle its worn out to the max so could that be the problem aswell im gone to swap my back 2 tyres for the front and see what happens and then if it dont pull then ill just get a new tyre thanks for the replys
