Location of Water Temp Sender

HI everyone
New to the site and also new to Golfs. Just bought a 1993 Golf Gti 8v and want to fit a few gauges to it to montior the engine a bit better. Can anyone tell me where i can find the water temp sender? thanks

on the coolant hose at the front top of the engine.  4 wires, two sensors in one block.  one set for ECU and one set for dash

You only ever need two tools in life. If it moves and it shouldn't use Duct Tape. If it does not move and it should, use WD40.
