can anyone please help vr6 bad running

revs free and clean when staionary when driven it surges really bad and i have a massive lack of power till 3 - 31/5k then goes ok accept in 4th and 5th wont pull past 5 1/2k,i have changed plugs coil pack leads maf sensor ran injector cleaner through and its still the same it does seem a bit lumpy too
have also done headgasket and since compression tested it all 8 1/2 except one but it was still 7  :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad:

Was the timing set up correctly when the headgasket was changed?
Tried running VAG com?

timming is set ok, its on coil pack so that's ok, it would not run like it does if out by a link when its stationary, its been pluged in but going get it done again as was not impressed with last one basically told me to get another maf sensor which i did and that didnt work

unplug it and take it for a run as the ecu runs it at a default value if its unplugged, so if it runs better then 99 times it gonna be the sensor.
Spec- Sounds awesome 2800CC VR6 200BHP Remapped with 7300 rev limit. Kent cams, cold air carbon intake kit. Forged pistons,power boost valve,6 branch manifold, de-cat pipe and full powerflow exhaust system.Grooved discs with red stuff pads. Gaz Gold fully adjustable suspension, 3.8 camber at front.
Full race cage, Momo steering wheel and corbeau race seats with four point harness. Fire extinguisher and 4.26 final drive conversion

can also do the same test for lambda, if it runs better with it unplugged you need a new one

Try coil pack again, had the same problem last year swap it for a known good one. There a big problem on vr6's.

Been through 4 in 3 months.

hi had it pluged in today came back with 12 codes all said earth ground intermitant problems going look at engine loom 2moz
