high level flashing brake light
« on: 07 February 2011, 20:35 »
there was a post about a high level brake light that i can not find

the high lvl brake light had a flasher unit fitted with flashed a few times before staying on and they aske if it was mot passable

'vosa private passenger and light commercial vehicle testing book says

' reason for rejection'

a stop lamp

(a) missing, insecure, obviously incorrectly positioned or does not face to the rear

(b) inoperative, excessively damaged, deteriorated or obscured so that they are not visible from a reasonable distance

(c) shows other than a STEADY red light when the service brake is applied, or remains on when the brake is released.

so for mot point of view the high level flashing brake light would fail the mot.

you and just unplug the high lvl brake light for the mot as its is not needed an just re connect it after but unsure what the old bill would have to say about it,

the high level brake ligh can also fail if more than 50% and the bulbs are not workin.

all 3 of the mot testers at my work would fail a flashing high brake light
but it does look like a sweet little mod
