ive replaced temp sender (geniune vw) and had thermostat done monday when cambelt, waterpump was done, still sits at 70 sometimes

weird! maybe your clocks are faulty. I have never heard of it still not sitting at 90 when both parts have been replaced! get it checked out using vagcom?

Same here, changed both items myself, was all sweet for about week and a half now it's the same old story, temp sender stopped working all togeather until one day i got pissed off with it and dipped in a cup of boiling water; it clicked a couple of times then the temp gauge moved with the ignition on?? After i put it back in it seemed to work properly for a few days?? I'm wondering whether the wires have been f**ked through being removed a couple of times.
