alright m8 in what way u mean de badge? if you mean removing the golf and i.e tdi,gti tec then there several ways from using a hair dryer on the letters to soften the adhesive then prize them off with a plastic tool  lol i did this with out posting or reading and used a small screw driver with a rag round the head lol not the safest way lol but it worked then there several ways of removing the remaining residue ie tar remover, petrol, meths the later two u need a big bucket of warn saopy water to wash off the essentially paint stripper to make sure no damage i used meths and a good wash not leaving it to dry just a dab on a cloth and no hard rubbing let the stuff eat the adhesive. then a good polish to get rid of wheather lines left by letters

if it the rear vw boot badge it the same process but when off your left with a badge recess i colour coded my badge black and black background to blend in re applied it with adhesive pads.

hope this helps lol if not sorry
