« on: 31 January 2011, 21:02 »
was driving my car around saturday when suddenly brake warning light came on (had to tell the wife sitting beside me at the time) it  was nothing  .knowing full well my brakes had gone on investigation on sunday, empty master cyclinder , my drivers side rear  copper brake pipe had split have managed to remove it and bought some 90/10 cupro-nickel 3/16 tubing and some fittings for the ends my question is can any one point me in the direction of the brake tubing flare ie is it op1, op2 or a bubble flare my mates lent me his flare making tool(sykes-pickavant) but in my keenness to get the car back on the road i drilled out old flares ,then thought these ends cant be expensive buy new and do the job once hope to the tech minded guys on here this makes sence .thanks in advance.max

A little confused there

Bubble flaire is what I did. change both sides while you are there. (from the brake valve)

Bend the pipe without any kinks, then get the ends flaired at your local parts supplies.

Cheap flair tools are sh1t btw
