cold idle problems
« on: 16 January 2011, 22:17 »
hi people hope someone can help.
About a year ago i snapped my cam belt while racing a civic type r (he won obviously). end up bending valves etc,a friend owns a garage so he did the work, he got the car all back together but would not idle when cold, as soon as the engine has warmed up it idles just fine, so he suggested that i needed a new idle vale, so I sourced a NEW non-genuine idle valve. The car (MK3 2.0 16V) is still no better and its driving me nutts. Dont want to take car back to mate as ive lost faith in his work. thanks jim

what engine is it?
You only ever need two tools in life. If it moves and it shouldn't use Duct Tape. If it does not move and it should, use WD40.
