1.8 20vt fan belt tensioner

hi my fanbelt tensioner has went and it sounds terrible, does any one know if they are a dealer only part? or if a can get a pattern one? and also any ideas of a price and also for the belt, its not got a/c if this helps

You mean the AUX belt tensioner? They can be got from eurocarparts but are around £60, which a bit expensive I think. I would speak to a breaker, try purelyvag on here or ebay.

yer alt/aux belt tenisioner! i was thinkin it was going to be a vw jobbie for over 100 so nt too bad at 60ish the belt is worn but it sounds like the bearings are gone in the tensioner wheel
