plugs and leads for Mk2 16v
« on: 20 February 2005, 10:17 »
Any body have any recomendations for which plugs and leads are best to git onto my 1990 16v??

it's spluttering a bit on startup (occasionally) and hestitates at low revs until warmed up (revved a little!). then all becomes fine.

Will a new distributer and or cap help??

its a k-jetronic and its done 121K.

finally... tappets have started rattling are they OK to be left for a while or do they need changing ASAP? I've put thicker oil which has quietend them a little

Thanks fellas

bosch plugs (your choice of type) and genuine leads. so many problems come down to supposedly 'performance' leads and as such a friend who's a tuner, will only use OE leads.
