140mph twin plug clocks on ebay (ignore the word 'RARE' - they're not that hard to find...):

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Golf-Mk2-Clocks-Speedo-Dash-/330517521122?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4cf46122e2

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vw-Golf-Gti-Mk2-8v-Two-Plug-VDO-Clocks-RARE-140mph-/280614167635?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4155e86453

Part number differences may be down to manufacturer (VDO/Motormeter), Max speedo reading (120/140/160mph), or different measurement units for different regions (km/miles, litres/gallons).

All of this aside, for 8v GTIs, there are basically three types:
Early twin-plug with shift indicator (>85)
Twin-plug (85>89)
Single plug (90>92)

Any UK 140mph normal twin-plug will fit. Has to be 140mph though otherwise your reading will be off.

1995 VW Corrado VR6

Thanks everybody for your help and guidance.

You guys offer brilliant support - I'm sure that without it, there would be far fewer of these fantastic cars still on the road today!!
