Hi all, I've just joined and wondered if anyone can help shed some light on an issue I'm having with my drivers seat?

Thanks in advance for your responses and hope there's a solution out there cause it's a belting looking car and would love to be able to love it!

Welcome to the MK6 Section Matt.

Where are you located? I ask as I'm sure you could meet up a fellow forum member to compare seats

Thanks for the suggestion Doc, I'm in Manchester. The issue I have at the moment is that my hip/back are so goosed that I'm struggling in all cars at the moment, I drove my Dad's Scirocco last night and that causes me pain but it never has done previously so I'd guess it's just related to bruising or inflamation of my hip. My Mum has come up with a temporary, if rather embarrassing, solution short term. She's given me a floral seat cover off a garden chair  :embarassed: and that's worked wonders! Doesn't quite fit in with the sports image but it's finally a pleasure to drive my car. I'm going to stick with it for a few weeks, let my hip sort itself out and then I may come back to you because at the moment I wouldn't be able to differentiate between a good and bad seat!

Cheers Doc, very kind of you!

The latest is that I took my car in to have a replacement seat cover fitted and they've agreed that when they get a trade in of a Mk VI Gti they'll swop the seat over for me to try for a few weeks and then if I'm happy with it they'll arrange for a new seat under warranty, can't say fairer than that!

Thanks once again for your kind offer!

Great dealer service by the sounds of things, may I ask which dealer you use please?
