Newbie from Teesside
« on: 14 December 2010, 09:06 »
Hi all,

am looking to get a nice mk2 gti pref a 3door but not bothered if its a 16 or 8 valver. would ideally like a white or red car but am really open to a good solid sound running car to use as base to get back to OEM standard with just a few subtle modifications.
ive got around 2k to spend so am hoping that will start me off

will be looking at doing a few shows round the UK and europe next yearas i'll be working in Northern Germany for the first 6 months of the year.
Am really looking forward to getting into the VW scene

Any ideas or info about cars for sale would be greatly appreciated

cheers

James

Hi and welcome.  Should get a very nice 16V - the one to get - for that budget.

Bonjour and welcome to our humble forum, make yourself at home and be sure to post as much random crap as you feel necessary in the off topic section and pick as many minds as you want in the other sections

Thanks for the warm welcome
I've managed to get an oak green 16v car with a G60 engine conversion
It's far from mint but it gives me something to get my teeth into
When I work out how to get pictures on here I'll post a few

I'm In Eaglescliffe but work in Germany at the mo
Am hoping to take the car over there asap for a few meets
